Depending on the specific scenario in which the VitalLink is operating, it will connect to a VitalNet server and stream the encrypted data in real time for onward distribution to your preferred telemedicine Medical Service Provider, medical department or private medical professional(s).
The VitalNet server retains the data from the session in an anonymous record. Access to the record requires pre-authorisation and is identification and password protected. Records are always transmitted in an encrypted form. These steps ensure that sensitive personal information is only made available to authorised medical professionals.
All measurements leaving VitalLink and all measurements viewed using VitalNet are protected by software certificates, which, combined with the fact that no patient identifiable data is held or sent, ensures a patient's vital signs remain confidential.
